THE INCREDIBLE MYRON B THROUGH THE YEARS

1998

At age 17, Myron B finished school and began to pursue his dream to become an entertainer/ music producer by this time he had written over 80 songs and felt that he was ready to make the next step.

 1999

Myron recorded his first single, ?The Mud Mass Band? with school mate Francisco Reyes. It was produced by popular music producer Darryl Braxton but the song was never released. In this year Myron worked as a ticket attendant at the ?Kaiso House? calypso tent and the experience inspired him to pursue a career as a Calypsonian.

 2000

After auditioning for three Calypso tents Myron got his break at the newly formed Yangatang Humorous Calypso tent which was headed by Errol Fabien and Nikki Crosby. He was an instant hit at the tent with his humorous ditty Hard Times and his professional entertainment career had begun.

That year he travelled and performed in a number of Caribbean islands, England and France.

 2001

Myron moved with Errol Fabien and Nikky Crosby to form ?Maljo Kaiso? another Humorous Calypso tent where performed ?Boy of Wood? funny story of fairytale character Pinocchio. Again, the act was an instant hit among tent goers with people coming back night after night to see it.

At this time Myron was also sharpening his music production skills and was producing demos and other small recordings

 2002

At Maljo Kaiso Myron performed what he considers to be the best song he has ever written ?Fraid for meh life?. It was a humorous song about a man that went to meet his lover at her home but her blind husband came home before her so he had to pretend to be his wife. With this composition Myron won the most humorous calypso title at the TUCO categories finals.

 2003

2003 was also the last year and final run of the Maljo Kaiso show. Myron will always remember and be grateful for the opportunities extended to him, the experience gained and for guidance and support he was given by the senior members of the cast from the Yangatang tent to Maljo Kaiso. These include Errol Fabien, Nikki Crosby, Lord Blakie, The Mighty Power, Mairoon Ali, Zandolie, Lord Nelson The Mighty Sparrow, Leary Joseph and much more.

The experience helped to shape Myron B?s style which has now become a unique blend of Calypso, Standup comedy and Theatre and it shows in all of his work from that time onwards.

In this year Myron had set up a small studio at his home and started working on his first album. He released a groovy soca titled ?My Next? with longtime schoolmate Francico ?franco? Reyes. The song got some modest airplay in September and December of that year. However, he also wrote and produced his first soca parang ?Ah Next House? which was well received and given heavy rotation that Christmas season. It also earned him a nomination for the soca parang of the year award

 2004

Myron did not perform in any calypso tents that year as he was now focusing on his recording an production aspects of his career. He did however enter the humorous calypso

competition again and won it with a cleverly written double entendre entitled ?Tito Thomas? which was a story about a brother he had that the ladies preferred over him.

In this year he set up his production company Incredible Entertainment Limited and started producing for himself and other young artists. In this year he and Francisco ?Franco? Reyes completed their first album ?Mic Brass Action? which included a mix of soca grooves and calypsos for the upcoming 2005 carnival season.

 2005

One of the songs from the ?Mic Brass Action? album ?Bacchanal? which was performed by Myron B alone started receiving some favorable rotation on the airwaves, and Myron was contracted to perform at the Spektakula Calypso tent. There he was again a huge hit among tent goers and he also made it to the Soca Monarch semifinals.

In October of that year he produced and released another Soca Parang ?The Grinch? which was again a huge hit on the airwaves and earned him another nomination for Soca Parang of the year.

 2006

This was the year that Myron dedicated to getting his production company Incredible Entertainment Limited off the ground and focusing more on his Production side. He moved his studio out of his home and set up shop in Woodbrook Port of Spain. From there he and his cousin Kevon ?Yodo? John Baptiste produced a number of tracks for both new and established artistes.

This is also the year Myron decided to capitalize on the success he had been having with the Soca Parang genre and he produced a song and music video for piece of work written by Mervyn Theodore and himself called ?One Man Parang?. And once again the song and video was an instant hit.

 2007

By this time Myron had expanded his production portfolio as his company was now involved in video production. He also started to become a more sought after music producer especially for songs in the Soca Parang and Calypso genres. He did a parody of Iwer George?s 90?s hit ?Bottom in de road? and his version ?Bottom in yuh face? was an instant hit worldwide. As the song and music video climbed charts and was rotated on various networks worldwide.

He also released a song entitled ?Man Ting? which was again well received during the Carnival season and he performed at the Icons Calypso tent headed by The Mighty Cro Cro. He also entered the Extempo competition and place third.

He also maintained his focus on producing good Christmas music and penned the Soca Parang hit ?My wish? a humorous love story about a lady that left him for another man but had to come back to him because the man put her out the following year. That year he also produced his first studio compilation ?Soca Parang Bacchanal? which featured himself, Errol Fabien, Wendell Etienne, Clifford Learmond, Ronoman, George Gonzales, and many others. The album was also an instant hit selling over 900 copies in its first season.

 2008

The demand for his services as a music producer/engineer was high in this year and Myron was unable to focus on releasing his own work even though he had started producing a new solo album. He also started to focus more on helping a lot of young artistes and he only released one song for the Christmas season ?Parang Festival?.

 2009 - 2010

In September he teamed up with Joseph ?Joey? Rivers  and formed the first ever Christmas Calypso tent, ?The Christmas Caravan? which featured all the stars of the Soca Parang genre performing on one show for the entire season.

The song tells a story of a man that was hypnotised to transform into an animal every time he heard the word "Hello" but the spell never got broken because the Hypnotist died seconds after casting the spell.
